Kimberley is a subdivision of 328 homes in Farmington Hills Michigan, just north of West Eleven Mile Road, south of Interstate 696, and just to the west of Middlebelt Road. These homes were built between 1960 and 1971, and feature mostly colonial style, along with a fair amount of split levels and ranches. The number of bedrooms ranges from three to five, bathrooms from two to three and a half and sizes from 1400 ft.² to over 3000 ft.².

This family-friendly subdivision features a Tennis and a Swim Club, which is optional and requires extra fees,  and the neighborhood is comprised of established landscaping and mature trees with beautiful views and a country style feeling. Most living rooms have a fireplace, open dining room, spacious kitchen and breakfast area. Many homes feature basements for additional storage or entertainment areas. Most lots are fairly deep and wooded and nearly all homes have a two car garage.

The higher priced homes in the sub typically have been upgraded with granite or quartz counters, new cabinetry, paint, and flooring. Several homes have hardwood floors in the living room and dining room with oversized first for laundry and fenced backyards.

Schools & Nearby

Residents to Kimberley Sub are part of the Farmington Hills School District and are assigned to  Beechview Elementary School less than a half a mile away, East Middle School, and Farmington High School. All schools are less than a mile from most homes in Kimberley. Mercy High School is a short walk from this neighborhood and features a Catholic college all-girls preparatory school. Preschools, Montessori schools, and other private schools are all within about 5 miles of Kimberley and Oakland Community College is just 2 miles west.

Most homes are close to freeways and shopping with nearby subdivisions of Springland and Springbrook just around the corner. Just 2 miles north of Kimberley is the Orchard 12 Plaza Shopping Center with dozens of restaurants, markets, and coffee shops. Three miles northwest is the Kendallwood Shopping Center and Heartland Marketplace with several other dining options, pharmacies, and medical facilities.

Woodland Hills Nature Park and Carpenter Lake Nature Preserve are both about 2 ½ miles west and southeast of Kimberley Sub, with dozens of acres of woodland, native meadows, trails, and recreational activities. Downtown Farmington is 3.5 miles southwest of the subdivision.
