The Crosswinds of Farmington Hills is a condominium community located in the northwest corner of the city off of 14 Mile Road and just east of Haggerty Road in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Built in 1985 and 1986, this 27-building complex features 216 individual units. Each building features eight units –  four ranch-style and four townhouse style.  The ranches are 1,025 sq. ft. and have two to three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. The townhouses are 934 sq. ft. and have two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms.  Each has a designated detached garage or carport and a private basement.

Residents are part of a homeowner’s association which requires monthly fees of about $300. This covers common area maintenance and management of amenities and consistency of the homes. Residents and their guests have use of a swimming pool, cabana, two tennis courts, and access to a private nature trail.

Schools

Residents of the Crosswinds are part of the Walled Lake Consolidated School District and are served by  Meadowbrook Elementary School,  James R Geisler Middle School, and Walled Lake Western High School. These schools are between two and five miles from the entrance to Crosswinds.

There are multiple restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, and entertainment all within about a one-mile radius and many are accessible by sidewalks. Residents have easy access to the M-5 highway or Haggerty connector offering convenient travel to Interstate 96, I – 275, and the I – 696 interchange. There are also several biking and walking trails along M-5 that link to the I-75 Metro trail system. The Knollwood Plaza Shopping Center is just around the corner on Haggerty Road.
