Mission Springs on Darb Lake is a private subdivision in a West Bloomfield Township just north of Willow Road between lock Haven Road and Hiller Road south of Greer Road. This collection of about 60 homes sit on private cul-de-sac streets with the main entrance off Willow Road and access points from Hidden Lake Drive and Birch Lane. These larger homes were built between the 1970s and early 1990s, with most homes built around 1991. Properties feature about 10,000 square-foot lots with four and five bedroom floor plans, two-story brick and wood architecture designs in sizes from 2500 ft.² to 4200 ft.².

Higher-priced homes have usually been updated so you’re likely to find open floor plans, master suites, finished basements, granite or quartz counters, and hardwood floors. Several homes have their own private lake access as well. Homeowners dues are about $25 per month and cover common area maintenance and association management. Most homes have natural gas, fireplaces, and two or three-car garages.

Schools and Nearby

Residents are part of the West Bloomfield school district and are served by the Scotch elementary school, the Abbott middle school, and the West Bloomfield high school. The schools are between 1 and 3 miles from Mission Springs. Many homes even have water frontage either on Derby Lake or on some of the smaller ponds scattered throughout the community.

Right around the corner is the Marshbank Park, which offers a sledding hill in the winter, playgrounds in the summer, and waterfront activity on Cass Lake. Just north on Cooley Lake Road are markets, shops, and a couple of restaurants. The Oakland County International Airport is about 6 miles north or 13 to 15 minutes. The White Lake Oaks golf course is also about 10 to 15 minutes from this subdivision.
